Timich App

目次

Timich is a simple and elegant iPhone app for browsing photos and videos from your personal self-hosted Immich server.

Immich is a free and open-source photo management solution that runs on your own hardware, not a subscription service.

The official Immich project is available at immich-app/immich.

Timich is designed for people who already use Immich and want a focused mobile browsing experience for their self-hosted library. Timich is not a hosted service and does not create or manage a developer account for you. It simply connects directly to the Immich server you run or control.

App Overview

  • Browse photos and videos from your Immich library.
  • Connect with either an API key or your Immich email and password.
  • Open photos in a full-screen detail view.
  • Play videos directly from your Immich server.
  • Share photos and videos with the iOS share sheet.
  • Save photos and videos from Immich to your device photo library.

Support

This page also serves as the support page for Timich.

Before You Start

  • Timich currently supports iPhone on iOS 18 or later.
  • You need access to an Immich server that you control or are allowed to use.
  • A network connection to your Immich server is required for your own library.

Getting Started

  1. Open Timich.
  2. Enter your Immich server URL.
  3. Choose your connection method.
  4. Connect with your API key or your Immich account email and password.
  5. Browse your library from the main Photos screen.

Demo Mode

If you want to explore the app without connecting your own server, use Browse Demo Library on the connection screen.

Demo Mode lets you preview the main gallery experience without entering server details or personal credentials.

Troubleshooting

I cannot connect

  • Check that your server URL is correct.
  • Make sure your Immich server is reachable from your device.
  • If you use an API key, confirm that the key is still valid.
  • If you use email and password, confirm that your Immich credentials are correct.

My library does not load

  • Check your internet or local network connection.
  • Confirm that your Immich server is online.
  • Try clearing your saved connection info and connecting again.

Saving to Photos failed

  • Confirm that Timich has permission to add items to your photo library.
  • Make sure your device has enough free storage.

Contact

When contacting support, please include:

  • your Timich app version
  • your iPhone model
  • your iOS version
  • whether you are using an API key or email and password
  • a short description of the issue
  • steps to reproduce the problem

Privacy Policy

This section explains what information the app uses when you use Timich.

Information the App Uses

  • Server URL that you enter for your Immich instance.
  • Connection credentials such as API key, email address, password, and bearer token, if you choose to connect to your server.
  • Media metadata and media files requested from your Immich server for browsing, playback, sharing, and saving.
  • Local app settings, such as whether the connection screen should be shown on launch.

How Data Is Used

  • To connect to the Immich server that you specify.
  • To authenticate your session with your Immich server.
  • To load your library thumbnails, photos, and videos.
  • To support sharing and saving items that you choose to export from the app.
  • To keep basic local preferences on your device.

Local Storage and Caching

  • Connection credentials may be stored securely on your device so you do not need to enter them every time.
  • Thumbnail images may be cached locally on your device to improve scrolling performance.
  • Timich uses local device storage only for app operation and performance.

Photo Library Permission

If you choose to save a photo or video from Timich to your iPhone, iOS will ask for permission to add items to your photo library.

Timich requests add-only photo library access for this feature.

Data Sharing

  • Timich connects directly to the Immich server URL that you provide.
  • Timich does not use a developer-operated backend or cloud sync service. There is no Timich server that receives your server URL, credentials, library contents, or other private media data.
  • Your private data stays between your device and the Immich server that you choose to connect to, except when you explicitly use iOS system features such as sharing or saving to your photo library.
  • Timich does not require an account created by the developer.
  • Timich is not intended to sell your personal data.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • If you want Timich to show the connection view again after you have already saved your connection info, open the iPhone Settings app, choose Timich, and enable Show Connection Screen on Launch in the Account section.
  • Locally stored connection info can be removed from within the app by using Clear Saved Connection Info on the connection screen.
  • Cached images may remain on the device until removed by the system or replaced by newer cached data.
  • If you want data removed from your Immich server, manage that data through your own Immich installation.

Changes

This page may be updated as Timich evolves.
